Our Curriculum:
We believe in developing a well-educated child with good communication skills who is confident and motivated and has a love of learning. We strive to provide opportunities in all year groups to ensure that all children are school-ready, work-ready and life-ready.
Our vision for our curriculum has been based upon our mission statement:
“We live, learn and love in His way.”
At Holy Family we have created an exciting and carefully structured curriculum which builds on the children’s prior learning. We strive to develop children who are independent learners with strong communication skills. We encourage them to take pride in all that they do and strive to develop a love of learning. There is a strong focus on developing children’s moral, spiritual, social, emotional and cultural understanding. Nurture and well-being are at the centre of all that we do. A child who is happy and feels secure is in the best possible position for learning. All children are encouraged to shine!
Our curriculum follows the National Curriculum but has been developed further to reflect our school community. We aim to inspire our children through the curriculum and broaden their horizons through educational visits and experiences. Equality and diversity runs throughout the curriculum promoting tolerance and respect for all. The school provides a highly inclusive environment where learners enjoy their education. Pupils at all levels are supported to achieve their potential. A primary focus of our curriculum is to raise aspirations and self-belief.
