Welcome to our Autumn Term. This term we have been settling in to our new year 4 classroom, meeting our new teachers and teaching assistants and starting to understand new concepts of different topics and different challenges.

Please take a look below at some of our fantastic work.

Within the first half term we focused on our ambitions. We certainly have great talent in year 4.  Dream big!

Our Class reading novel in Autumn Term 1

It’s AD 84 when Bran, a prince of the Carvetii tribe, is captured by the Romans. A legion of soldiers is marching east, to build a military road. It’s hostile country, and Bran is to go with them as a hostage to ensure the legion’s safety … but no one is safe in newly conquered Britain.

Our Class reading novel in Autumn Term 2

Like many children, Henry loves books. But Henry doesn’t like to read books, he likes to eat them. Big books, picture books, reference books . . . if it has pages, Henry chews them up and swallows (but red ones are his favorite). And the more he eats, the smarter he gets—he’s on his way to being the smartest boy in the world! But one day he feels sick to his stomach. And the information is so jumbled up inside, he can’t digest it! Can Henry find a way to enjoy books without using his teeth?

With a stunning new artistic style and a die-cut surprise, Oliver Jeffers celebrates the joys of reading in this charming and quirky picture book. It’s almost good enough to eat.

We started our daily mile.

We started our daily mile to keep our bodies and minds healthy.

We also had fun visiting the local Library.

Unpicking a set of instructions.

We can now identify key features of instructions and create our own.

Armistice Day 2020
We say our prayers and made our poppies.
This takes place on 11th November each year, commemorating the Anniversary of the Armistice of 1918 which effectively saw the end of hostilities in World War 1.
